Happy birthday to my darling ~AngstOfZant!
Because I sent my package so late and it will probably arrive a few days after your birthday you get a preview of the Midna picture that I painted and put into your package (along with that other cute stuff. XD).

Midna and a mini Twilit Kargarok, painted with acrylics. The stuff on the right is just messily thrown onto the paper, for the sake of filling out space. XD It was very tempting to change a few things digitally, but I did not, except for making the colors a little more brownish-muted, because I personally think it fits into my gallery better this way and because the scanner kind of ruined the colors a little.

Yeah... I've actually painted something with acrylics again, after years of doing almost no traditional art... And boy, it was fun, but it looks so messy. XD
It's a very simple picture, I just didn't want to choose anything overly complicated for this, because I'm still getting used to traditional art again... Not to mention it was a last minute idea and I had to work extremely fast. XD
The downside of traditional art is that it's not as easy to correct mistakes. I prefer oil paint over acrylics, because it doesn't dry so fast and I can blend the colors a bit better... But whatever, I didn't have the time to use my oil paint.

Later on I compared it with a digital picture of Midna in a similar pose (but holding a butterfly instead) that I drew some months ago, but never uploaded, and I just thought oh man, the digital one looks so much better. But this one is done with real paint and I put a lot of love into it, so that's what makes it special. I kinda like it, I think... And I hope you will like it, too, Colin.
